On February 11,
2003, my loving and caring wife donated her incompatible kidney to
me. That’s right- a totally incompatible kidney (both blood type and
tissue type). Dr. Lloyd Ratner at
Jefferson
Hospital,
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, performed the operation.
I launched this website on my first year anniversary for two
reasons: First- to inform those who suffer from kidney disease that
a viable, medically proven alternative to a compatible organ
transplant is available. And second, to recall my experiences in
the hope that it will help others through the process.
